Aug. 25th, 2008 12:20 amA pawful of updates to report:
First, Spot's Inn in downtown, across from the Honolulu Community College, closed its doors for good last Saturday. It's a shame... I'll miss the good food and the local-style atmosphere, but I guess it's time for the restaurant's owners to move on. The restaurant had been a permanent fixture in the area for some 23 years.

Second, congrats big time to the Waipio Little League team, the 2008 Little League World Series champs!

And finally, congrats to Hawaii-born Bryan Clay for winning the gold in the decathalon for the 2008 Beijing Olympics!
