Happy Presidents' Day!

Gonna be participating in the Great Aloha Run in a few hours, so putting in a rather brief entry before getting some sleep.  The GAR is a roughly 8.2-mile race from Aloha Tower through downtown Honolulu, by the airport and out to Aloha Stadium.  I'm planning a run/walk regime (run 5-6 minutes, walk a minute, etc.) which should have me finishing the race within an hour and a half.

I've done training runs going up to roughly 7.5 miles over the past few weeks, with the most recent run (last Saturday) having been roughly 3.75 to 4 miles.

This is my first time in the run so it should be fun (and I figured why not since I had thought this would be my last year... now next year will be the last chance I get to participate before I leave the state).

Ran the Great Aloha Run this morning... completed roughly 8.1 miles in just under 90 minutes.  Not bad considering that it was the first time I did the GAR and also that I was actually trying to complete the run in that amount of time.

Next is.... a half marathon?  O.O
I'm not much of a big fan of running actually.... probably wouldn't even have done it if I didn't have to finish a mile and a half in a timely manner to do well on a PT test.  :P
