Got my official Great Aloha Run results in the mail.  I finished the 8.15-mile run in 1:29:43 at a pace of roughly 11:01 minutes per mile.  Out of 19,861 finishers I finished 4,244.  Within my gender (male) I placed 2,947 of 8,834 entrants and within my age group (male, 35-39 yrs) I placed 397 of 995.  Overall, not bad for a first-time run.  Next year if I do the run I'm going to see if I can shave 10 minutes off this year's time.  I may also train sooner.  We'll see how that goes.

Lani seems to have wised up to the laser pointer.  Now when I use the pointer I have to distract her so that she focuses on the laser point on the floor versus the laser point in my hand... otherwise she'll look at my hand and go after that instead.  (Who says cats aren't smart, hmm?)

Burned one day of leave today helping out with a show that my church produces ("Connecting Point").  It was interesting and fun, but I was in the studio longer than I originally expected (I thought it was going to be a half-day session but it ended up taking two-thirds of the day).

Work seems to be getting a bit more stressful... one of the issues I've been facing is that we have Air Force-owned equipment that we're using on a Navy network.  However, one big question that seems to be coming down is whether or not we need all the workstations that we have (we have several AF and several Navy-owned workstations).  And if we can't justify having the workstations, then we will likely lose them due to the costs involved in keeping them around.  It's also on me to fight as much as I can to keep the AF-owned workstations.  But a lot of this is falling way outside my operational lane.... while the burden is essentially on me to make the decision(s) to keep or not keep the equipment, it should be made at my supervisor's level, at a minimum.  The reason I need to elevate it to that level is because we're dealing with AF-Navy administrative issues that could end up becoming more political in nature, and I'm not in the proper position to play office politics at that level.

Haven't seen any movies since "Narnia" back in December.  I still want to see "Over The Hedge" when it comes out, but I don't know if I'll see any other movies until then... not that I'm clamoring to see anything at the moment at least...
