Frontier Furs?

Saw a commercial on CNN today and found a bunch of others below. I've never flown the airline (for one, it doesn't even service Hawaii!), but I like the commercials (and the tagline -- "a whole different animal")....

Frontier was actually the first airline I ever flew- a trip from here to Denver (Stapleton- the new airport was still a decade away) to Durango. That was Summer 1984, the year before the airline went bankrupt and disappeared for a long time. I'm glad to see it's back, though I think I liked their old colors a little better. Back then, they looked like what you see in http://members.tripod.com/~LAMKINS/FL_737DEN.jpg (you'll have to copy and paste these into your browser- Tripod gets pissy about images linked from off-site pages) This was taken at Denver- where Frontier was noted for using the engines with thrust-reversers deployed to "power back" from the gates rather than using a push from a tug. I remember them doing that and making a special announcement about it over the PA system so passengers wouldn't be alarmed at this unusual practice. All my Frontier flights were aboard 737-200s but they had other craft in the fleet as can be seen here. Shiprock is an outcropping of rock, probably from an extinct volcano (like Devil's Tower only more eroded by now) that resembles a clipper ship when seen from certain angles. It's one of the more spectacular geological sights of the Four Corners region and is a couple hours from Durango by car.
