Given that my last entry was in May, I guess I should really update this. So here are the last few months in a nutshell.

First, my physical fitness for the Guard. Since February I've been working out at the local 24 Hour Fitness gym as well as working with a personal trainer. As it turns out, that has paid off in spades, because I was able to pass the Air Force PT test in August. That in turn means I don't have to test for a year, and I'll be able to stay in the Guard a while longer (still working toward staying in for at least 20 years, and possibly longer depending on what happens to the unit). But I'm still keeping up the training, and not only do I seem to be getting in better shape physically, I've also been losing weight... down to the upper 170s compared to ballooning near 200 before I started training.

Second, work. We're in a new fiscal year and I didn't hear anything as far as furloughs or shutdowns, which I guess is a good thing (no news is good news?). That said, I should have steady employment for the time being, which eases things up a little financially (though now all my fundage is going toward personal training, so finances are still a bit tight -- though fortunately not dire).

Third, everything else. Not much to report there, TBH. Been helping out a friend a few times during the week, but pretty much my schedule consists of (in no particular order) work, working out/physical fitness, running errands, and volunteering at church. No major changes otherwise... Lani is still her attention-craving, affectionate self, and no plans for travel in the short or long term. It actually looks like this year will be the first year in a while that I won't have made any trips off-island for the entire year. (I was supposed to have done an interisland trip for the Guard back in July, but logistical issues plus working mid shifts ended up nixing that part.)

Saw the new MLP movie "Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks" the last Saturday in September. Not going to spoil it, but it was pretty good. Hard to say if it was as good as the first one though.

And that's pretty much it. I'll probably throw another update in here at some point down the road, but don't hold your breath waiting.
