(no subject)

Just got back home after visiting technocollie in the hospital. He's approaching his tenth consecutive year where he's had at least one hospital stay at some point during the year. Not exactly a record you'd want to have, but there you go.

Because of so many hospital stays in the past, his kidneys are effectively shutting down to where he may need dialysis or possibly a transplant. That in turn could affect whether or not he's able to go to FC 2012... but I'm not making any predictions one way or the other.

In other news, I'm more or less following through on a New Year's resolution I made to curb personal spending. During FC 2011, I decided that after the con I would not be going out much if at all, because the amount I spend going out adds up, and I'm starting to get to the point where I'll have to watch my finances closely if I don't want to get behind on bills, etc.... let alone planning for FC 2012 (which I've still penciled in, just won't know for sure until sometime during the summer).

Beyond that, I'm not planning on any trips unless they're related to work or Guard.
