As of tomorrow I'll officially be a full-time civilian and part-time reservist. The timing, IMHO, couldn't be any better either, as Monday I'll be starting the full-time GS-11 civilian position. This eliminates my having to file for unemployment, which is one hassle I'm actually grateful not to have to deal with.
Until I leave or retire from the ANG, though, I'll still be an officer... just not active-duty. :)
This weekend is shaping up to be a mostly dead one, save for helping out at church tomorrow. I'm not going out tonight except maybe to get food, and I'll be using Sunday to get ready for inprocessing at Hickam first thing Monday. And because of my rotating shift work schedule, what little social life I have will pretty much be nixed. I won't even be able to help out at church as much anymore either. But hey, at least I got something that'll help pay the bills.
I think once I get settled into a routine, it'll be easier anyway. Plus, the last time I did shift work I pretty much didn't want to do anything on my days off.
