Saw one movie since my last entry: "Wild Hogs". Yes, I know this one's more likely to pick up Razzies than Oscars, but my take on this is that if the goal of the movie is to entertain, then I think it did its job. And if you don't think so... well, we'll just agree to disagree and leave it at that.
This movie did get me thinking about one thing... I'm rapidly approaching the age where I should be hitting my mid-life crisis. I have no clue what'll happen then either. Maybe I'll actually try to push for more of a social life and/or pick up a significant other (yeah, RIGHT, like either of that's gonna happen). Or perhaps I'll get so engrossed in either flight simming or having a good home theater that I'll blow a bunch of $$$ on a realistic simulator or A/V equipment. Or perhaps I'll want to donate all my free time to helping out at church. Or doing my best to become physically fit. Who knows?
And honestly, at this point, who even cares?
But I digress.
Today I was checking out Animal Planet's Guide to Cats and came across the section on intelligence. I keyed in on one comment that the article made: unlike dogs, which "are pack animals, motivated by a strong need to follow and please the pack's 'top' dog (or a human master) in order to receive praise, the solitary cat answers to no one and is motivated by the need to survive."

Yep, that's me for the most part. Actually, I suppose that's not entirely true. I do answer to others, but I am definitely solitary.
"... and is motivated by the need to survive."
True, true.
And to sort of prove my point about being solitary? I passed up on going out with friends on Sunday, as well as tonight. Sunday I didn't really feel like going out, and tonight I couldn't because of scheduling conflicts. But the odd thing is that while something like this would have bothered me in the past, it doesn't really bother me now.
Am I going out this weekend? Well, Saturday is out because of a prior commitment. But Friday? Or Sunday? I have no friggin' idea, but right now I'm leaning toward 'no'....

ionotter on Monday. Apparently he put my name down as a reference and just wanted to validate my phone number. Well, hopefully the number is validated now. :)
Okay, enough rambling/spammage. This kitty is actually a bit on the tired side, so I'm going to close now and do the typical feline thing (sleep)....
