Jul. 5th, 2006 11:21 pmLani pissed me off big time tonight.... though it was partly my fault too.
To get into my place from the garage you have to go through two doors... one leading from the garage to a hallway and stairwell, and another leading from the hallway into the living area itself.
Well, like a fool, I left the inside door partly open and opened the door to the garage to grab some stuff from the garage.
In the past, Lani's been fairly good about not going out. But not tonight. She slipped out the door, meowed once then disappeared into the yard.
I finally found her about 10 minutes later, managed to catch her and take her back into the house, being careful to secure both doors this time. She meowed at me a few times, and I responded with silence. If she's going to pull that kind of stunt on me, I'm not going to give her attention even if she wants it.
Of course, this also means that in the future I'm going to make damn sure that I have either the garage door or front door closed so that Lani doesn't escape again.
