Mar. 15th, 2006 11:02 pmLooks like the S4 is running fine. I had no problems starting it this morning after having jump-started it last night. I left it alone in the parking lot for most of the day while I was at work, and it started up just fine. So... I think the battery is still good (though it probably still bears monitoring, at least). Just the same, I'm keeping jumper cables in the car.
I also went back over some of my previous entries and have now decided to scrap any plans for travelling this summer. There's way too much stuff going on at work for which I need to be around to monitor. Plus, there will be several significant changes this summer: my supervisor is moving (aka PCSing, for those of you familiar with AF/Army lingo), as well as a few other key personnel. In addition, my section will drop to only 1 person deep (myself).
Of course, the caveat is that if something happens to me, the shop would grind to a halt. But while I am able, I plan to be in the shop to keep it going until it not only gets enough people so it can run without my presence but I've been able to train someone to adequately handle the projects I'm working on in my absence. Right now I do not see that happening any time this year, but hopefully my schedule will clear by FC07.
I currently have a little over a week of use-or-lose leave. I may try to use one day in April but otherwise I do not plan to use the rest. If it means I lose leave, then so be it.
