I got my cell phone back up and running about a day after having accidentally immersed it in water. After having dried it out overnight, it seems to have been none the worse for wear. I've been playing around with the handwriting recognition tool... it generally recognizes my handwriting, but sometimes it's more frustrating to use that than the keyboard because at least I can be more precise on the keyboard.
On Tuesday, after work, I mowed the lawn in front of where I normally park the Audi S4. My brother-in-law had mowed the lawn last Sunday but didn't do that area because the car was parked there at the time. That wore me out completely to where I zonked out on the bed without eating anything until the next morning.
Today I had a PHA (basically an annual physical), or at least part of it. It was only part 1, so not a whole lot was found other than that my blood pressure was on the high side, though normal. I think I'm going to have to pay closer attention to my diet and workout regimen, though I don't intend to make any radical changes. Still, it may be time to lay off the fast food, or at least favor salads and grilled stuff to their fried equivalents.
Over the past two weeks we've been getting some pretty major drenchings statewide. While my area is fairly flood-safe because I live on a hill and all the water drains down the street, there were flooding and landslide problems especially reported on the windward sides of Oahu and Kauai. The current forecast doesn't appear to have us drying out a whole lot anytime soon, so I think flash flooding could continue to be a problem for those areas... though the rain we've been having may help our water levels. Still, it takes some 5 years for the water table to replenish itself, and the islands were in a period of drought for the past 6 years or so, so.....
