Removed an LJ user from my friends list at their request. I don't know what the reason was for the request, but I did respect and honor it.
Normally I prefer to leave my friends list alone unless someone either requests to be removed from my friends list or they do something that clearly indicates they don't want me part of their life (i.e., banning me from their LJ). But one value I've been trying to live by is to be slow to anger and quick to forgive (trust me, that is NOT easy to do).
I used to be extremely sensitive emotionally in high school. Since then, I've become more thick-skinned and have learned not to take things as personally as I used to. If I offend someone through something I say or write, and they let me know how they feel, then fine... I will suffer the consequences of my actions. It doesn't mean that I won't always be offended, but it tends to take quite a lot to push me over the edge. But one word of warning to those out there... PLEASE do NOT tempt fate.
Switching gears... went to a co-worker's wedding at the Marriott Ihilani Hotel in Ko Olina (yes, the same location as Paradise Cove, only further down the street). Both the wedding and reception were held outdoors, which is fine, but given that we're heading into the rainy season, and we had a few passing showers during the night, perhaps it would have been better to have either had the reception indoors or at least under tents outdoors. But otherwise it was a really nice ceremony, and I think the bride and groom will have a happy life together.
