Broke down and decided to get a replacement for my cell phone:

I had set a $500 ceiling for this and managed to stay within my spending limit.
The main reasons I finally decided to get a new phone: the handsfree plug on my current phone is very sporadic at best; the phone is somewhat iffy when it comes to holding a battery charge; and the phone tends to crap out in areas like Omaha, NE, where reception tends to be very sporadic.
I should get the phone in the mail by the middle of next week... will post a followup when the phone arrives.
I also plan to use the same sim card from my other phone, so the phone number should not change....
