NyQuil daze

Hopefully I'll be somewhat coherent in this entry since I just got done taking a dose of Exchange Select's equivalent of NyQuil (basically a generic brand that I can get at the base exchangIe that's cheaper than NyQuil).  In any case, since that thing has 10% alcohol by volume, I probably won't be up much longer...

Woke up with a sore throat this morning, though I was well enough to go to work and even do some PT afterward.  Interestingly enough, it seems as though the jury is still out when it comes to whether or not you should work out when you aren't feeling well.  I tend to lean more toward working out, even at a reduced intensity, unless your body grabs you and slams you flat on your back... which it's done to me before.  But because I have a requirement to exercise regularly, I can't afford not to work out unless I really don't have any other choice.

And speaking of which... I think my workouts have been paying off.  Last Friday I took a mock PT test (practice for the real thing) and improved my time on the 1.5-mile run.  I'm still slower than I would like to be, but I'm slowly getting back there... though it would be cool if I could drop my time below 12 minutes (working on it, but it'll be a while!).

Since I now have two cars that I use -- I named 'em Jake and Razor -- I've been using them on alternate days.  Razor hits the road on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Jake goes out on Tuesdays, Thursdays and whichever day -- either Saturday or Sunday -- I help out at church.  This way I keep myself familiar with how both cars drive/handle.  I also take Razor when I go out with friends.  :)

In any case, I'm starting to get comfortably numb from the medicine, so I'm gonna close for now and continue later....
