rainbow_ark, some of which were talking about a furmeet (of sorts) during AC. That's out for me, mainly because I'm not going to AC this year. FC06 is also looking rather iffy as well because I could get tagged to deploy before then.
AC is out because I don't have any free time. Not only is it in the middle of our busiest season weatherwise (typhoon season in the northwest Pacific Ocean), but personnel transfers are going to leave my office hurting pretty significantly. Bottom line is that there won't be anyone who can adequately handle my work during that time, so leave is out of the question. Of course, if something happens that's beyond my control, then someone will probably have to step in and take the workload.
The end of November might look better, possibly, but during that point I'd be ramping up to get ready to possibly deploy. That deployment window runs through the end of sprng 2006, just in time for typhoon season to ramp up again. After that finishes, I move... and it's anyone's guess where I end up (could be Nebraska again, hard to say).
