Feb. 13th, 2005 09:41 pmLooks like we finally got some good tradewind weather, just in time for the Pro Bowl. I'll bet that our weather here is making those in the U.S. Mainland and/or elsewhere (non-tropical) jealous. :)
That good weather also allowed me to mow the lawn, though it was somewhat of a pain cleaning out the lawn mower because the grass was still wet and tended to clump together... not to mention that some of the grass clumps fell to the ground and the driveway, and cleaning those up were almost as bad as cleaning up doggie poo (though not as smelly).
On a different note, I've been recording both "Abarenbo Shogun" and "Hagure Keiji" for
ionotter... but it may take me a bit before I have enough shows to fill up a 6-hour DVD. (I only have DVD-Rs, so hopefully those will do.)
(I already know that when I leave here I'm gonna miss KIKU-TV's Japanese programming. Some people live and breathe anime, but as for me personally, since I'm surrounded by live-action Japanese programming, I like those shows much better.)
Interestingly enough, I'm finding that even a 1-hour Japanese show drops down to about 45 minutes when you take out all the commercials... sometimes as much as 50 minutes... but rather than adding extra commercials, KIKU-TV instead adds 5-minute documentaries, in English.
