All pau, all PAU, ALL PAU!

I got my orders and final-outprocessed the base today. That means tonight I'll be on the road enroute to the St Louis Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) in Pontoon Beach, IL. I'm planning a midnight departure... this would get me at the VPC early Tuesday morning, around the time it opens. Allowing about an hour or so to process the car, I should be at the airport around 9-ish... the flight leaves around 1 pm.
With two stopovers (one in Atlanta and the other in L.A.), when all is said and done I should be in Honolulu around midnight Tuesday. It's somewhat later than I originally wanted, but definitely not bad considering all the hoops I had to go through to outprocess the base with (relatively) minimal snags. (Dare I say it could have been much, much worse???)
News from home is apparently still good... my sister has been running somewhat ragged taking care of my mom, but apparently my mom is still doing good, so that's a definite plus.
I hope to put in an entry while either on the road or at one of the airports, if I can get an internet connection... but if not, this will be my last entry before heading "on the open road".
