Stuph, various
Apr. 8th, 2004 10:39 pmChecked out the U.S. Army Museum today... one cool thing about this museum is that it contains various memorabilia of recently retired General Eric Shinseki. Shinseki was Chief of Staff of the Army and retired last year or so after having served for 38 years. The exhibit honoring him just opened a little over a week ago.
Also got to hike up Diamond Head... it's an easy hike, but can still give you a workout because you have to climb a couple of flights of stairs (something like 46 stairs, then 99 stairs). Inside the crater there was hardly any wind, so I was sweating rather profusely when I got to the top... but a moderate breeze helped cool me off quite nicely. I think I was also able to pick out my mom's house from the top of the hike.
I'm saving the details of the day's events for
ionotter and
krag_carbine, partly because they're much better storytellers than me... :)
In any case, though, we're doing a circle island tour tomorrow. And in case you haven't noticed, I actually enjoy driving.... particularly if I can play tour guide (somewhat, anyway)...
