Furlough update
Apr. 5th, 2013 11:27 pmLooks like DoD employees will now get 14 furlough days instead of 22, with the furloughs now projected to start in June (1 8-hour furlough day per week). It's possible this may be averted if Congress (somehow) finds additional funding, but to be honest, I'm not holding my breath.
Unfortunately, as I've posted before, off-island trips are the first casualty... so no cons for this kat for the rest of the year. And FC 2014 is definitely out as well.
Beyond that, the other cutbacks will include any major purchases (stuff over $500 unless absolutely needed) and extracurricular stuff like movies (though with the Regal discount tickets from Costco, maybe not so much).
