This afternoon I finalized the sale of the Hyundai Genesis. Ended up selling it for $22,500, less than what I'd wanted but enough to keep me from not being able to sell it altogether. With gas prices rising exponentially, especially here where gas is the most expensive in the U.S., I decided I probably wouldn't get any better offers since the Hyundai is a V-8.
Then, earlier tonight, after I finalized the sale and filed the seller's notice of transfer with the DMV, I learned that
Nissan is recalling the Infiniti M and QX and Nissan Juke over fuel sensor concerns. Well, guess what... the M and QX are the remaining cars I have (I got the M to replace the Genesis but decided to put the latter on the market for private sale rather than trading it in).
So... I shall be giving the Infiniti dealership a call in the morning. Will be interesting to see what they say, and what they advise. Maybe I can even get a loaner until both cars are repaired... will have to see.
