Heh, you want irony? I'm a dog. No, really.
You'd think I'd have been born in the Year of the Tiger, given my affinity for felines. :D

Been a while since I actually updated this thing with life-type stuph, so here goes...

Went for an MRI on Saturday after visiting the doctor. Recent (as in, near the end of last year) hip pain has precluded my doing any running. That's not a good thing, considering I have a Guard PT test coming up next month and I REALLY need to pass it or risk being administratively separated. The pain appears to be muscle pain but my doctor has also been noticing diminished reflexes on the right side of my body, so he ordered the MRI. I should be finding out the results at the end of the week. The thing is, the pain hasn't gotten worse, but it hasn't gotten better. Some days it's barely noticeable, other days it definitely tells me it's there. But it hasn't gotten debilitating to where I can't walk, so I suppose that's a good thing at least. So for now aerobics is on hold.

Looks like the latest MMO craze is Star Wars: The Old Republic. I've been the only holdout, but given that the vast majority of the game is going on quests and leveling up, something I've never really had any interest in, I'm not likely to get started on it anytime soon.

Didn't see the Super Bowl game today because I was helping out at church and was taking a nap this afternoon since I'd been up early in the morning. Same for the halftime show and the commercials, and I'm not much of a football fan so the actual outcome of the game didn't really matter a whole lot.

Lani's keeping me company on the bed as I type this. She's become very attached and somewhat clingy... and admittedly I can't blame her for that last part since I'm in and out of the house a lot during the week (and on weekends). And there are times I'm sure I miss her just as much as she misses me. Case in point: it's been said that if your cat greets you when you come home, it's a sign that s/he loves you. Lani, she not only greets me when I come home, she even helps open the door for me. :)

Shifting gears... yeah, I know the Presidential election isn't until November, but it's starting to look like Mitt Romney may get the Republican nomination. As of this entry I'm still up in the air as far as who to vote for come November. I hate to admit it, but I've lost a lot of faith in Barack Obama since four years ago. Back then, I believed voting for John McCain would just give us another four years of G.W. Bush-esque politics, which might have ruined our country. Obama has probably done his best but I think if he gets another term it'll be just barely. Romney isn't much better... when one of your friends who lives in a state where Romney was once governor, and says NOT to vote for Romney, it has to get you thinking... especially if said friend has tended to vote Republican in the past.

So as far as November goes, I still don't know who I'm going to vote for. More than likely I won't vote for Obama, but I probably won't vote for Romney either.
