Furlough/Shutdown update
Apr. 6th, 2011 02:29 pmLooks like it's coming down to the wire as far as whether or not a federal shutdown will be averted.
Even though it looks like there will be a last-minute deal to keep the feds' lights on, I think enough damage has been done to both parties that I may either vote completely independent/nonpartisan next year or not vote at all. Whether or not there's a shutdown, I blame both Democrats and Republicans equally. And the 2011 budget wrangling is just peanuts compared to the $14 trillion national debt anyway.
At least I have a year and a half to make up my mind.
