Writer's Block: Raining cats or dogs?

I'm definitely a cat person. I think it has to do with the fact that I grew up with 3 cats and 1 dog, and the dog was dumb as a box of rocks compared to the cats.

Add to that that cats are low-maintenance compared to dogs (give them food, water, and a clean litterbox, and they're pretty much set), plus there's something therapeutic about a purring cat.

And for the record, I'm currently owned by a rather affectionate (and playful) feline.

Okay, I'll admit it.

I've become disillusioned enough with the way that the Democrats have been running the state of Hawaii, Congress AND the presidency that I am seriously considering voting Republican across the board in the next major election.

Though I'm not completely sold on the elephants just yet... I'm considering one of the Democrats to fill the House seat left by Neil Abercrombie.
