A really weird katnap
Mar. 2nd, 2009 01:11 pmIs it me, or do weird dreams always seem to happen during katnaps rather than at night? Or at least I remember this one better anyway.
I remember being in a playground, although my vision was a bit misty and blurry. In it I met a former co-worker who I had realized passed away of pancreatic cancer back in 2003 (I remember that because her funeral was the day just before my dad's one). She looked older, probably about how old I'd think she would be today, but she seemed a bit surprised at the news that she had passed away.
I took her hand and followed her through the playground. In it I saw other faces, none of whom I recognized. I was hoping to see, perhaps, those of my parents or even
evil_dwagon, but I didn't see any of them.
There were other hands reaching out to pull me away, but I couldn't tell who they belonged to. Then suddenly, that scene faded and I felt the sensation of someone giving me artificial respiration (i.e., breathing into my lungs). I coughed, took a deep breath and... woke up.
Not exactly a comforting dream, but when I woke up I was lying face up in bed alone, with my arms crossed over the top of my head. I'm not going to try to interpret the dream, but it was odd enough to where I wanted to post it here before I forgot.
