Saw "Hancock" tonight... my comments follow (no spoilers, hopefully):
My impressions of the movie from the previews were that Hancock is kind of a Stitch (from "Lilo & Stitch") and SWAT Kats hybrid... that is, he's a vigilante of sorts who tends to be rather destructive. Effective, but destructive. Unlike Stitch, who was created to be destructive, Hancock just doesn't care about collateral damage.
But yeah, Hancock is one of those superheroes that's in serious need of a PR makeover, and he gets that makeover from a guy he saves (Jason Bateman). As for the rest of the movie, well, you'll have to watch it to figure it out.
Overall, the movie has quite a bit of special effects, and a few of the camera angles, especially in the beginning, could make you somewhat nauseated... though nowhere near as bad as "Cloverfield."
This one will easily beat out WALL-E, I think, for tops in box office earnings this weekend, but we'll see...
