Started reading (and getting into) a few webcomics. The most recent one that I've started getting into has been
Six Pack of Otters. I would say that so far Marco is my favorite character. Polo is pretty cool too -- especially since he starts off as the primary narrator of the webcomic -- but he's too conceited for me to really like him all that much. Still, though, if I were to meet 'em in RL, I might want to hang out with 'em -- at least for a bit. :)
Gave Lani a (somewhat) thorough brushing. The fur piled up on the brush, though, so I pulled some of it off... and she promptly pounced on it. It's like she didn't recognize the clump of fur that I pulled off the brush and treated it like a stranger. Silly kitty.
In still other news, I caught a couple other movies: "Semi-Pro" (with Will Ferrell) and "The Bank Job" (based on a true story). My reaction to both was that they were fairly good (Semi-Pro is a comedy, if you didn't figure it out) but that there wasn't anything outstanding about them. Can't complain about "The Bank Job" since I got to see a promo screening for free, thanks to a friend of a friend. And as far as "Semi-Pro" goes, well... it'll throw you back into the 70s. I think it's VERY loosely based on some true events... the ABA (which I've heard still exists) and the four teams that went to the NBA (and, as far as I know, are still around and part of the NBA).
Not much else to add... the First Hawaiian International Auto Show is this weekend, and I'm planning to go check out the cars Saturday. I'm curious to see what else is out there, and this is one way to go see 'em without feeling pressured to buy anything... at least not right away. There are supposed to be several hybrid exhibits that I plan on checking out, so we'll see how it goes.
S'all for now...
