Hitman and other goodies
Dec. 2nd, 2007 04:17 pmSaw "Hitman" on Friday. I've been noticing that movies based on video games tend to hit or miss. For example, "Doom" and "Final Fantasy" were misses (tho I did like the theme song "The Dream Within" for FF), while "Resident Evil" was more of a hit.
So what about "Hitman"?
Well, I thought it was a hit (no pun intended). I've never played the video game, so I don't know how true it is to the game... but it had an interesting story. Plus, there's a (fairly obvious?) reference to the video game in the movie and Vin Diesel was the executive producer (tho he doesn't appear in the movie as far as I know). Other than that, I'll just say go see the movie if you want to know more. :)
Got one Christmas card addressed... it'll be going out within the next day or so. But no other takers so far. Again, if you're interested in receiving a card, please let me know by either replying to this (and I think you can make your response private so nobody else knows your s-mail addy) or by dropping me an email at afwxkat@gmail.com. If you e-mail me with your snailmail addy, I will send an ACK so if you don't hear from me, it's possible that gmail may have filtered out your mail as spam.
In other news, the UH Warriors will be playing in the Sugar Bowl on New Year's Day. Whether or not the team does well there, just the bowl appearance will be a huge boost for the school financially. And it's still the first time in the school's history that the football team has had a perfect season. (Like I said, I'm not much of a sports fan, but I do make an exception for UH football. :)
