Did a quick sweep of the AF Museum... only had 2 hours to browse today, but I plan to go back so that isn't too big of a deal.

Also went to see the new Harry Potter movie at a local drive-in theater. Yes, Dayton at least still has those... the three that Oahu used to have (Waialae, Kam and Kailua) have all closed, at least to theater-goers. I believe Kam Drive-In still has its swap meets on Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday. Other than being a bit on the cool side temperature-wise, the theater was pretty good, and for me it brought back memories. I think the last drive-in movie I saw that I remember was The Fox and the Hound at the Waialae Drive-In, back around 1980 or so.

My reaction to Harry Potter: it's good, definitely worth seeing. Hard to say how it compares to its predecessors, and I can't really say if I got my $$$ worth because, well, one of the other furs I went to see the movie with is a web designer for the theater's web page and consequently gets free admission for himself and anyone in his group, so....

Shifting gears: I'm trying to find out what's going on with the AFPC (AF Personnel Center) position that I applied for. The latest that the AFPC web site is telling me is that I was "not referred" for one position that I applied for because "the position will not be filled at this time". WTF?! Does this mean that the position I was looking at has been withdrawn? I've got an e-mail in the works trying to figure this one out.

Worst case scenario is that I either not qualify for unemployment after September and/or will remain jobless even after unemployment. Fortunately I can bum around for a short while but I have to be REALLY careful how I spend my $$$ over the next few months....

Heh.
