A more detailed recap of my trip so far...
Monday morning was spent at work, then taking care of a few other things before dropping off Lani at the vet and heading to the airport. Unfortunately, Lani wasn't very cooperative... she resisted getting into the carrier and then began meowing for several minutes after I got her in. Once at the vet's she quieted down but then started crying again as she was being carried into the kennel in the back. I don't blame her too much either because I got home and only gave her about 10 to 15 minutes of attention while I used the bathroom, then had to take her to the vet. I think she'll be okay though, just a little pissed at me when I get back...
The flight over was pretty uneventful. The airline had two flights going to Phoenix, leaving about 10 minutes apart. My flight, which left earlier, got into Phoenix about 10 minutes ahead of schedule, so I had a 3 hour layover there. The flight out of Phoenix, however, was delayed by about 20-30 minutes, so that carried over into a roughly half hour delay getting into Charlotte. As I expected, had to hoof it across the terminal (from Gate B9 to Gate E18) to get to my last flight to Dayton, which, as it turned out, was also delayed, partly because they had to recompute weight and baggage for the flight. (Forgot that on the 4th of July weekend, ALL flights are packed...) Met Tigerwolf and another fur (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
therinm) at the airport and got something to eat and got settled in.
Today was the road trip out from Dayton to Pittsburgh, a trip of only about 4 hours or so. I zonked out but had a few moments of consciousness in between. We got in around 1:30pm and checked in. Turned out that TW had extra crash space in his room at the Westin, so I cancelled my reservation at the Omni (at the cost of one night's stay) just to make things easier.
Got the internet machines set up... I'm updating this entry on one of the workstations as TW runs updates on the others.
