Pre-Departure Entry
Jan. 26th, 2007 08:18 amSitting in the airport lobby as I write this...wanted to get a couple of notes in before my flight boards in about 15 minutes.
Checked out this morning but had to make an unscheduled detour to the ER to drop off
millerwolf, who hadn't been feeling well. Just before we left, he threw up and felt a little better but wanted me to drop him off at the ER. Unfortunately, I couldn't wait because I needed to catch my flight, but I did leave my contact info (name and phone number) with the hospital. I think it was a combination of con crud and having stayed up 24+ hours the day before that finally did him in. I think with some antibiotics and much-needed rest he'll be fine. If I get any updates I'll post 'em.
The ER detour pushed my arrival at San Jose Airport back about half an hour, but I made up for that because I had decided to splurge and upgrade to first class yesterday. That in turn got me through security in a MUCH shorter line.
Logged on via the phone and Bluetooth (since I packed my USB cable in my check-in). But everything's running off battery power at the moment since we're boarding really soon anyway.
That's it for now. Next posting when I get back home. :)

Back home...
Jan. 26th, 2007 07:23 pm... and taking it easy.
Originally planned to go out with
technocollie and a few other friends tonight, but decided against it because they already have five people, so they can take one car (if I went, it would have been 6 and require two cars). I had planned to drive so I could return an item, but found it was too late to do so, so figured it was easier to just sit out altogether.
I used that tactic quite a bit during FC as well. If a group was going out and there was just enough (minus myself) to take one car, I let the group go out on its own. This way, there's no way to split up the group.
In any case, it's probably best I take it easy tonight anyway. I'm still recovering from a mild dose of the con crud (which, judging by some friends' entries, hit others pretty hard) and am going back to work on Monday, so I should give myself some time to get better before then. Plus we're supposed to get a dose of heavy rain later this weekend, so I should really try to recuperate as much as possible before then since the rain would probably make things worse.
Still, though, it's good to be home. Lani certainly missed me, at least. :)
