It's Wednesday as I post this, but I'm going to recap what I did Tuesday.
That's simple: I saw two movies, Accepted and Jet Li's Fearless.
I enjoyed Accepted. At first, I wasn't expecting a whole lot, because when you take a plot where someone runs a con scheme either out of desperation or willingly, chances are somewhere in the movie that cover is going to get blown, and perhaps blown big time. And yet, it's somewhat of an underdog story. The best way I can describe this movie? Take Animal House, Dodgeball and Camp Nowhere and toss them into a blender. Liquefy on HIGH for a little over an hour and a half... and the result is something resembling Accepted. From Animal House, you take the fraternity antics... from Dodgeball take the "underdog story" part... from Camp Nowhere take the "make up a location to fool the parents"... and you get the idea.
Fearless is also a good movie, though substantially darker than Accepted. It's Jet Li's last epic movie, but I think he did a very good job with it. I would like to see him do more movies though, and from what I've heard that'll be the case.
Not much else to write on today. I have been checking my work e-mail though (and yes, I know I'm being a very bad kitty for trying to keep tabs on work-related stuff when I'm supposed to be on leave). I may need help to keep my mind off work when I go to FC 07 in January (yes, I'm still planning to go).
