Really late night thoughts
Apr. 13th, 2006 03:41 amHaven't been feeling all that well over the past couple of days... and having slept all night Wednesday with a somewhat erratic diet hasn't helped either.
It started on Tuesday when I developed a scratchy throat at work. On Wednesday it was accompanied by a bit of coughing and what appeared to be a slight fever. I countered by taking some echinacea and having one of the Maruchan "Instant Lunch" bowls and some (generic brand) ibuprofen at home.
I don't think it'll get much worse than it is now but I'll have to watch my activity closely over the next few days since Friday will be a somewhat long day (due to commander's call in the late afternoon and a squadron photo afterward) and a church service Saturday.
I'm also keeping a very close eye on my finances because they have now dropped well below my comfort zone... I'm at roughly 1/3 of where I was last June, but I think it's at this point that I should think about managing my money smarter... not harder. I don't get any extra pay for working late, so that's out. And limiting meals to lower-cost alternatives helps a bit as well. I'm not yet ready to write off FC07, but I am writing off all other trips this year.
After I finish this entry (written while in the litterbox), I'm going to grab some late-night food-age since I didn't have much of a lunch and slept through dinner. (I know, I think my mom would kill me if she was still around and knew what I was doing...)
