... or at least that's what the National Weather Service is forecasting.  But then again, we all know that forecasters get paid to be wrong, right?  <wink>

Seriously, though... a persistent low-pressure system has been hanging around to our west for the past week and isn't moving away anytime soon.  It has turned off our normal cooling tradewinds and made them light southerly to variable.  That plus ample moisture is providing the ingredients for some heavy afternoon showers and possible flash flooding.

Over the past week the heavy rains have been mostly hit-or-miss events.  Last Monday my area (Kaimuki) got hit with heavy rain, while it stayed mostly dry on the other days.  It generally doesn't rain a whole lot in Kaimuki, especially compared to other locations on-island, but with storms like these all bets are generally off...
