Mar. 13th, 2005 09:01 pmRandom thoughts on a Sunday night... might be partly because I got about 3.5 hours of sleep last night and am currently runnig on caffeine...
For the milfurs out there, and anyone else who has to be extremely sharp-dressed: how do you iron your clothes using starch? I was once advised to soak my clothes heavily in starch then let it dry completely before ironing. My (now-deceased) mom once told me to not use steam when ironing starched clothes. I'm also debating if it's better to iron with full steam first, then starch afterward. Any thoughts?
Second random thought... have been pondering getting a pair of glasses with the Transition lenses (the ones that change from regular glasses to sunglasses)... but getting a pair through the base (non-titanium frame) would run me something like $300. Costco would be far cheaper except that I need to get a signed copy of my prescription, which I haven't been able to find (will check with the optometry clinic tomorrow to see if it can help). I may consider Lenscrafters if it can produce a siimlar-quality result for cheaper... especially since it can produce the glasses in an hour.
Third random thought... lately I've become more and more accustomed to hugging others, mainly because of church, where hugs or handshakes are frequently encouraged... and a hug implies nothing more than a simple greeting of friendship. Considering that several years ago, I didn't mind hugs but I had an aversion to being hugged too much, I'd say I've made some pretty good progress.
Final random thought... was pondering a trip in April or May but am not sure now, and may end up putting off any travel for a while. After having burned a month of leave to be close to my mom, I'd like to let it build up again. However, I wouldn't mind hosting anyone who wants to visit... just lemme know if you wanna visit!
