Updates on stuph
Feb. 25th, 2005 11:11 pmHeard from
technocollie late last night in the form of a text message on my phone. Apparently he has a pretty bad flu, but he didn't say if he was being kept in the hospital or what. I'll try to get in touch with him maybe tomorrow and see if I can get any more info.
In other news, I've been putting in anywhere between 12 to 13-hour days over the past couple of days alone. That's made the work week seem a LOT longer than it actually was. Tonight was particularly long because I did a workout after I got off work... around 8:45 pm. That in turn pushed dinner down to 10 pm, and I just now got home.
In honor of
ionotter I decided to go for Italian food tonight and ended up at Bravo's Pearlridge. Considering I skipped lunch, I don't feel particularly bad about "splurging" a bit (I consider "splurging" as paying more than $10 for a meal, if I'm eating by myself).
Tonight actually kinda reminded me of when I was on the Mainland and going out to eat quite frequently. Most times I'd either walk or drive a ways to a restaurant, often by myself since there was nobody to hang out with frequently when I was living in L.A. or, especially, in Fairfield. I generally don't mind driving a bit to eat but I don't like going too far if I find myself getting sleepy.
Got a prescriptioon for the eczema on my right leg, near the ankle. It's some kind of topical steroid cream, so it's supposed to be used sparingly. The directions I was given were to use the topical steroid for 2 weeks, skip a week, then use it for another 2 weeks, then go back for a followup examination. I'll admit it's hard to resist the temptation to scratch but I think scratching now, especially with the topical steroid, which will erode my skin, will make it worse.
Not much else to write about tonight... both of my FurReal Friends are keeping me company, though I prefer the kitten to the cat because the kitten shuts up faster. The cat keeps meowing periodically for 5 minutes before it shuts up....
