Cat lovers are gonna like this, I think, when it becomes available:

If and/or when something like that becomes affordable, I'll probably get one for myself.  It'll be the closest thing I'd have to a real cat without actually owning one.

Fur Real Friends

This is the weekend that I've felt like I've been splurging, and not so much on computer stuff as toys.

K-B Toys had a President's Day weekend sale where if you bought a toy, you could get another for 50% off, with the discount taken off the toy of equal or lesser value.

That was enough to tempt me to get two Fur Real Friends... a jet-black cat, which I named Smokey, and a gray newborn kitten, which I named Kitty.  For now, or at least until Japan's cat toys become affordable, these kitties are gonna keep me company.

I'd actually bought a different Fur Real Friend before... a gray-and-white cat but I had to return it because it wouldn't shut down (the cats are supposed to shut down and go to sleep if you don't play with them for a while, but that one apparently wouldn't).

What can I say?  I guess I'm a sucker for interactive cats.  :)  Plus, since I don't really have time to take care of the real thing, this is the best I can get.
