Odds and ends
Feb. 5th, 2005 12:14 amThis morning (Friday) I woke up to a moderate rainshower. Turns out the forecast for rain ending and a drying trend occurring were a bit premature.
I was hoping to mow the lawn this weekend, but with the possibility of continued rain in the forecast I'm probably going to push that off until the next weekend, when (hopefully) drier weather will be here.
It looks like the gnats have tapered off... for now, at least.
Earlier tonight I tried to check out Chinatown for its Chinese New Year celebration. Gave that up in a hurry when all of the parking lots in the area were completely full. Second alternative was to check out the Punahou Carnival, the largest in the state... but all the parking around the school was full, except for one lot that was charging $5 for the night (yeah, riiiiight)...
I wasn't all that crazy about going to the carnival because it would have been just for the food, but I'd been hoping to get a couple of Chinese New Year T-shirts or something. I'm not sure if I'll have time to get 'em this weekend but I'm hoping some of the vendors will continue to carry 'em... even if the prices go up after this weekend.
On a side note... I think I underpaid
