Did some digging on the Internet Furry Proximity Locator and found that there were several furs near where I'll be relocating this fall (Omaha, Nebraska). Apparently there's even a furry contingent there (they seem to be all over the place, yes-no?).
Last night I helped out on the sound team for the church I attend... I kept mentioning that I won't be around for much longer because I'm due to move in September... which of course led to a very frequently asked question of where was I moving to. I guess I kept answering that question so many times that last night I dreamt that I was in Nebraska and got caught in the middle of a hailstorm... but several things in the dream made no sense whatsoever:
(1) I was posing for some kind of class picture with several alumni from my high school;
(2) The hailstorm I encountered didn't do any damage to my car, nor did it injure me... it felt like I was almost being pelted by the small ice cubes you get when you get a fountain soda at, say, Burger King where you serve yourself;
(3) The scenery was more reminiscent of Alabama rather than Nebraska... and that was probably because I've never lived in Nebraska before.
I've heard the winters there are pretty nasty... don't know if they'll be better or worse than the ones I encountered in Korea, but I guess I won't be surprised if they aren't much different!
In any case, in about 2 months I'll be headed over to Nebraska. It should be an interesting move, though I hope it'll be a good one. And the one thing that could change my plans would be if something happened in the family (so far, things have been okay, but you never know)...
