Scary dream

... how scary was it? Well, suffice it to say it woke me up a couple of times during the night last night.

I'll try to relate as much of the dream as I remember in this posting.

Basically, I dreamt I'd murdered someone. I didn't know the person that I'd killed... as far as I was concerned it could have been anyone I know. I do remember it being an adult male, fully clothed (don't remember what he was wearing though -- think it was a T-shirt and shorts)... and strangely enough, I'd not only killed him but also removed both of his hands.

Even perhaps weirder is that the murder scene was my old bedroom in my parents' house, which was most recently converted to a workshop that my sister has been using.

The dream setting was also after I had committed the act... in other words, after the fact. Apparently the body had been long disposed, but one of my friends (don't remember who) managed to figure out that I had done it. Though I could vividly remember having done the act, it was more of in retrospect.

I woke up before anything else happened (cops getting called, my being arrested/prosecuted, etc)...

Like I said, it was all a dream. I woke up in bed, somewhat disoriented, but found the memories of the dream itself to be rather disturbing... mostly because they were quite vivid at the time.

Anyone want to take a crack at interpreting this dream?
